European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker positively assessed the reforms made in Albania by the government, saying that if this pace continues, they will recommend to the Council of Europe the opening of negotiations with the EU.
“The reforms that have been carried out in Albania have impressed us. I want Albania to join in the future”

Juncker was asked by the ABC News journalist in Brussels Erisa Zyka about the phenomenon of drugs in Albania. Regarding this, the European official said that satisfactory reforms have also been made in this area and this pace should continue.
During the joint press conference, Juncker also announced that next year he will visit Albania.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed that reforms made by the government led by him were praised by Brussels and this is a challenge that must continue. According to him, the next 6 months are crucial for opening negotiations for Albania.
“It’s an honor that I came to Brussels with tangible results. Many tangible results have to be followed and the challenge is common and public opinion in Albania will accurately reflect your message about a merit-based process”
