European Commission has reacted this Monday following Prime Minister Edi Rama’s statements for a joint president with Kosovo.
In her reaction, EC spokeswoman Catherine Ray considered these statements inappropriate, as according to her, they could be interpreted as a political interference in neighboring countries. According to Ray, Rama’s statements do not help building good neighborly relations.
“The European Union expects the region to continue building constructive and cooperative relations and focus on intensifying the reform agenda, to pursue progress in EU integration
”, the statement reads.
At a solemn session of the parliament in Prishtina, on the 10th anniversary of Kosovo Independence, Prime Minister Rama spoke of a President of National Unity, which, as the head of the Albanian government said, is still a dream, but not impossible./tvklan.al
