Justice Minister Etilda Gjonaj said that the 1800-page file translation of the Habilaj group has been completed. According to Gjonaj the file is expected to be handed over this Monday to the Serious Crimes Prosecution Office.
“We have conducted all the procedures according to the law. There is a voluminous file, I believe today will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office. Our file has arrived to us almost ten days ago. The translation is over and we will hand it over today”,
said Gjonaj.
Italian Prosecution’s file to the drug trafficking group that was headed by the brothers Moisi and Florian Habilaj, arrived in Albania 10 days ago.
In Albania, this file is expected to serve the ongoing investigations of Habilaj and other accused people as members of this group accused of international drug trafficking.
In this file it is alleged that former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri is also involved.
